I was the Co-Founder, Co-Director and Communications Director of UChiVotes, a student-led non-partisan voter engagement initiative. I led our voter turnout operation and helped garner media coverage for our nonpartisan work in publications like USA Today and The Economist and appeared as a spokesperson for the organization on local television.

Ultimately, over 80 percent of UChicago undergraduates signed up to TurboVote, making UChicago the #1 school in the country in percent of student body registered to vote, nearly doubling the #2 school, Harvard. Our efforts helped more than double the campus voting rate from the previous midterm elections via methods including an on-campus polling location, a pledge to vote competition, 1,600 reminders to vote delivered direct to the dorms, a tabling program, and stamps provided to students voting in their home elections by mail.
