About

I currently work at USA TODAY. Previously, I was a national political reporter at National Journal, and News Associate and the Iowa Caucus Fellow at CNN. As the Iowa Fellow, I was based in Des Moines and covered two dozen candidates in more than 125 appearances across the state as part of the network’s team reporting on the lead-up to the 2020 caucuses. I’ve interned at CBS News, ABC News, WBBM CBS 2 Chicago, Politico Live at the 2016 DNC, and as a freelance researcher for journalists at the Washington Post and the New York Times Magazine.

On campus at the University of Chicago, I was the Editor-in-chief of The Gate, the UChicago political magazine and journal. I previously served as the publication’s Elections Editor and was the recipient of the inaugural David Axelrod Reporting Grant. At the UChicago Institute of Politics I served on the Student Advisory Board, interned with the speaker series, and cofounded and led UChiVotes, one of the most successful nonpartisan college voting initiatives in the country during the 2018 midterms.

I’m a proud member of the Asian American Journalists Association. I’ve traveled to more than 40 countries, lived abroad, and now reside in Washington, DC.
